Melinda Gordon is an ordinary woman with an extraordinary gift which she has had since she was a young girl:

She lives in the small town of Grandview with her husband, Jim, a Paramedic. She owns and operates an Antique Shop called
"Same As It Never Was".
Melinda helps the "Earthbound Spirits", who have unfinished business with the Living to cross over into the Light while
she also helps those left behind to find closure.
With each person that Melinda helps, she experiences growth.
Like her Grandmother before her she can see, hear and communicate with Earthbround Spirits.

But not everyone is pleased with Melinda's gift...and she attracts the attention of agents of Darkness.
With the power of Love and the help of those around her, she continues to help those who have passed on but not yet crossed over,
