Danny Kaye Says "Thanks"

I had pulled into the village of Tarrytown, NY late in the afternoon the day before and was looking forward to an event I'd be attending on Halloween. On this day, though, I decided to head out to Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY to do some celebrity grave hunting there. What Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA is to the West Coast, Kensico is to the East Coast. I saw the graves of Anne Bancroft, Billie Burke, Tommy Dorsey, Lou Gehrig, Al Hirschfeld, Danny Kaye and Florenz Ziegfeld just to name a few. The grave of Danny Kaye and his wife Sylvia Fine were easy to find. I pulled up to the curb, parked and got out of the car, bringing my trusty iPhone with me to get some pix. As I stood before his grave thanking him for all he had given to the world through his talent, I felt a presence. I stood very still. Just behind me and to my left stood Danny Kaye himself. He put his right hand on my left shoulder and grinned at me. I believe he was saying, "Thanks for coming to see me and for being a fan." I had no other encounters in the cemetery or anywhere else in Westchester County, NY, but after entering the village of Sleepy Hollow (Yes, THAT Sleepy Hollow), I decided to head out to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
