Three of the most haunted movie theaters in Hollywood are Graumann's Chinese Theater, The Pantages Theater and Warner Pacific.
The golden, glittering movie houses of yesteryear are now long gone, just like the old, golden, glittering Hollywood of yesteryear.
"Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
Graumann's is haunted by actor Victor Kilian, a nameless little girl who has been seen playing backstage and Marilyn Monroe.
The Pantages is haunted by a woman who died of a heart attack in the theater, a projectionist and Howard Hughes, himself, the man who built the theater.
Finally, there was the Warner Pacific Theater which was built by one of the Warner Brothers, Sam Warner.
He went to great lengths to get the theater ready for the premier of the first "Talkie", "The Jazz Singer" and even promoted the movie.
Sam Warner developed a sinus infection and from that he got pneumonia.
One the day before the premier, Sam Warner died of a cerebral hemorrhage, but he could not stand the thought of missing the premier
he had worked so hard for...and thus, his restless ghost has been seen wandering the lobby
and in the balcony.
All that remain are Cineplexes, empty buildings, vacant lots, shadows of the things that once were....and Ghosts.
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind.
We are such stuff as dreams are made on,
and our little life is rounded with a sleep."
